Welcome to Preschool- Room 104 / 204- Chicago Early Learning Blended Classroom

Our preschool classroom is dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. We provide both guided and free play to nurture imagination, initiative and problem solving.

Our curriculum is based on the premise that children are naturally curious about their environment. Play is the essential ingredient of our preschool program. Through play with teacher support, children learn about themselves and their capabilities, as well as develop their cognitive, social and emotional capacities.

In the art area, children have experiences with a variety of materials and have opportunities to explore their creativity. Building with blocks introduces the child to spatial, pre-math relationships such as balance and symmetry as well as promotes team effort. We provide many experiences that foster a love of reading and writing. Storytime is an important part of our day. Exposure to good literature, prewriting and writing activities, songs and fingerplays helps our students to get ready for later reading and writing. The dramatic play area offers opportunities to play roles and explore using imagination. We have access to two beautiful playgrounds that provide opportunities for large motor play.
